Under its Influence Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, partly cloudy conditions with chances of rain (snow over the hills) is expected at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore divisions, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.

Sindh and Balouchistan are likely to remain Dry for next 2-4 days where as day temperatures are Rising gradually in these regions. Karachi will also remain Dry and a bit windy for next few days with

A shallow westerly wave is likely to affect upper parts of the Country tonight, and likely to persist during next 24 to 36 hours.

Punjab including Islamabad:

Mainly cold & dry weather is expected in most parts of the province; however, light rain is expected at isolated places of Rawalpindi division during next 24 hours.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa:

Night temperatures have risen by 2-4°C at a number of places in Balochistan and have fallen by 2-3°C at a few places in lower Sindh and remained practically unchanged in upper Sindh.

These were 2-4°C below normal at a number of places in Balochistan and at isolated places in Sindh.

Day temperatures have fallen by 2-4°C at a number of places in lower Sindh, at an isolated place in north Balochistan and have risen by 3°C at an isolated place in  lower Sindh and remained practically unchanged elsewhere in the region.

These were 2-6°C below normal at a number of places in Sindh and at a few places in Balochistan. Coldest places Last 24 hrs:Kalam -10°C, Astore -08°C, Quetta -06°C, Gupis, Skardu, Kalat -05°C, Drosh -04°C, Parachinar -03°C, Chitral, Dir, Malamjabba -02°C.

I. Below average precipitation is expected during predicted season.
II. In February average precipitation is expected all over the country with slightly above over GB and FATA region. Night temperatures are likely to slightly below normal over northern parts of the country and normal over rest of the country.
III. In March below average precipitation with normal night temperature is expected all over the country. Night temperature will continue to increases gradually over Sindh and southern Punjab during the month.
IV. In April average precipitation is expected over the country. However below normal precipitation is expected over central parts of the country including Punjab, KP, FATA and AJK. Night temperature will be on higher side than normal all over the country.
V. Density of fog will be less during upcoming winter months
VI. Two to three rainy spells are expected during February. The focus of rainy spell will be towards north and southern Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (KP).
VII. Very limited chances of well rainy spell over southern Punjab and Sindh during month of March.
VIII. In April one to two rainy spell are expected in third decade and focus may be towards southern parts (Sindh) of the country.
IX. March may be dry month in most of agriculture plain however; light precipitation is expected over northern parts of the country.
X. More snowfall spells over northern glaciers are expected during February.
