COUNTRY-WIDE RAIN POSSIBLE: A western disturbance will affect during the first week of February, it has the potential to bring widespread moderate to heavy rain/snow to northern areas. Balochistan would also be affected including Quetta. South Punjab and few areas of Sindh can also be affected. There are chances of very heavy downpour (>150 mm) in few areas of northern areas during the expected week.

Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in Most parts of the country, however rain (with snowfall over the hills) is expected at isolated places in Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Malakand ,Hazara divisions and Kashmir/GB.
CLOUD ACTIVITY NEAR PUNJAB: Heavy cloud presence expected near North Punjab till January 23 morning/mid-day. During that period there are chances of isolated heavy rain in various areas of Azad Kashmir (Haveli, Poonch, Kotli, Bhimber districts and few adjoining areas). Rain likely over Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Jhelum, Sialkot and other surrounding areas of N Punjab. Cloudy with chances of isolated shower/rain over Faisalabad and Okara. Cloudy weather expected over south Punjab with decrease on January 22 night.
